Case study:
I typically identify potential design solutions by gathering feedback from stakeholders across different regions. This allows me to pinpoint which occasions or holidays are missing from their catalog or require updates.
For example, Australia primarily relied on designs with a global perspective.
However, during the Christmas holiday season, the team tested designs specifically tailored to Australia. These designs, featuring summery scenes and local animals, outperformed all other Christmas designs in Q4 of 2021.
The data showed that designs more relatable to Australians received greater traction and better customer feedback.
Once the occasions or holidays lacking diversity in the catalog were identified, I developed several potential solutions.
These began as low-fidelity sketches that were presented to various stakeholders and other designers for feedback and selection before moving on to high-fidelity designs.
After reviewing my sketches, the stakeholders and I discussed the sentiment (copy) and design style to move forward with. Below, you can see the winning designs in high fidelity:
Birthday: Animals Design - "Happy Birthday!"
Father's Day: Platypus Design - "Dad, you are not like the otters";
Father's Day: Koala Design with Uluru in the background - "You're a koalaty dad"
Additionally, this is one of the banners I have designed displaying one of the best-selling eGift cards I also created for Amazon.com
My designs received numerous 5-star reviews, reflecting their success with customers.
A significant milestone was that two of my gift card designs ranked among the top 5 sellers in nine different countries (including the US) for over six months.
Below are some of the reviews left for one of my designs:
